As cultural historian, Erik focuses mainly on the cultural history of gems and jewels, the biographies of jewellers and jewellery makers - specifically Parisian and Dutch - and the diamond history of Amsterdam. Erik is also available as researcher and consultant in other fields, for example the fine arts. Below an overview of projects and roles.
